Connecting Zoom to Tego via MCP
Last Updated: June 3, 2026
The Tego app for Zoom lets you securely connect your Zoom workspace to the Tego Zoom MCP server, so AI agents and MCP clients can access Zoom through Tego's access controls. This guide covers how to add, use, and remove the app.
1. Overview
Tego acts as a gateway in front of Zoom. When you connect Zoom, Tego provisions a dedicated MCP server endpoint for your organization. You then point an MCP client — such as Claude, Cursor, or another agent — at that endpoint, and it can use Zoom capabilities through Tego while every action is governed by your organization's policies.
2. Prerequisites
- A Tego account with permission to add connectors to your organization.
- A Zoom account with an administrator who can authorize the Tego app for your workspace.
- An MCP client that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP (for example Claude or Cursor).
3. Adding the App
- Install the Tego app from the Zoom Marketplace and approve the requested permissions to authorize your Zoom workspace.
- In Tego, open MCP Gateway → Catalog, find Zoom, and start the “Add” wizard. Complete the OAuth authorization to link your Zoom workspace.
- Tego automatically provisions an MCP server endpoint for the Zoom server. When the wizard finishes, the Zoom server appears in your endpoint list.
4. Connecting the MCP server
This is the core step — point your MCP client at the Zoom endpoint Tego created for you.
- In Tego, open the Zoom server's endpoint detail page.
- Copy the MCP server URL shown there. It looks like
https://<your-tego-mcp-host>/<endpoint>. - In your MCP client, add a new remote MCP server and paste the URL. When prompted, complete the OAuth sign-in to authenticate to Tego.
- Confirm the connection succeeds and the Zoom tools are listed by your client.
5. Using the integration
Once connected, your MCP client can use the Zoom capabilities exposed through Tego — all subject to your organization's access policies. Typical capabilities include reading meetings, recordings, and related Zoom data.
6. Removing the app
- In Tego, open the Zoom server / endpoint and choose Disconnect / Remove. This revokes Tego's access and removes the MCP endpoint.
- To fully uninstall, also remove the Tego app from your Zoom Marketplace account settings, which revokes the OAuth authorization on Zoom's side.
